Who we are

The Script is run by Dr George Asiamah. Contact: george.asiamah@outlook.com.

What we collect

• Your email address and password (passwords are stored encrypted by our login provider).
• Your name, school (if you give it), the subjects you choose, and which statement about age and consent applied when you signed up.
• The questions you practise, your answers (including the text read from any photo you upload), and the marks and feedback you receive.
• Which classes you join, and any marks or comments your teacher adds.

We do not keep the photos you upload: the photo is sent for marking and only the text read from it is saved.

Why we use it

To mark your answers, show you your progress and mistake log, and, when you practise for a class, to let your teacher see your answers, marks and feedback.

Who can see it

• You can see all of your own answers and marks.
• Your teacher can see answers you submit for their class, with your name. They cannot see answers you practise “just for me”.
• Your answers are sent to Anthropic, the company that provides the AI used for marking, to produce your mark and feedback.
• Our data is stored by Supabase in London, United Kingdom.

Under 18?

If you are under 18, you may only use The Script if your parent or guardian agrees, or your school has signed you up.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete your account and everything linked to it by emailing george.asiamah@outlook.com.
